Thanks to the financial support of the ministère de l’Éducation du Québec (MEQ) and the Office des personnes handicapées du Québec (OPHQ), CB Linguistic Services (CBLS), under the direction of Ms Cynthia Benoit, was mandated to translate three TV programs from French to LSQ: Moments doux avec Passe-Partout, L’école à la maison and Les suppléants, for a total of 150 episodes.

A project of this size was the first of its kind in Quebec for Deaf and hard of hearing children and adolescents, and for anyone else interested in LSQ. The translation of these programs allows all Deaf and hard of hearing in the province to have access to educational content that contributes to the promotion and preservation of our Quebec heritage and culture.

This is also a first step toward a better understanding of sign languages and their importance for Deaf and hard of hearing children, which in turn can only lead to a more inclusive society for everyone.
