AI in Sign Language:
Our Language, Our Space, Our Future

Five panels to explore AI in sign language and to create a safe space to pursue the conversation

Currently, in Quebec, there is no public space to discuss AI in sign language, including sign language recognition and avatars. The Deaf community increasingly feels left behind by rapid technological progress. These panels aim to explore various aspects of AI in sign language while ensuring the Deaf community has a leading voice in these discussions.

Why Attend Our AI in Sign Language Panels?

These sessions aim to:

  • Foster meaningful dialogue and action on AI in sign language between the Deaf community and organizations
  • Break down complex AI concepts and explore their potential impact on sign languages, particularly in translation, interpretation, and education
  • Address ethical considerations and the Deaf community’s concerns
