Eversa Scholarship: A Five-Year Partnership with the Fondation de l’UQAM
Aware of the importance of post-secondary education for the professional success of Deaf, DeafBlind and hard of hearing individuals (DDBHH), we are proud to form a five-year partnership with the Fondation de l’UQAM to offer annual Eversa scholarships starting in winter 2022.
Who Can Benefit from the Eversa Scholarship?
This scholarship, awarded on an annual basis during the winter competition, will be intended for undergraduate DDBHH students from all study programs and faculties, whether in the fields of the arts, communications, education, management, political science and law, science, and humanities.
The purpose of the $1,000 scholarship is to encourage DDBHH students to go to university and get involved in their educational institution or elsewhere.
Through its social mission, Eversa is committed to the Deaf community and encourages students to get involved from the start of their studies.
Eligibility requirements
To receive this scholarship, the student must:
- Be a hard of hearing or deaf person, registered with the Bureau de l’inclusion et de la réussite étudiante (BIRE);
- Be registered full-time or part-time in their study program;
- Demonstrate community or social engagement (engagement component).
