LSQ courses offered as an extracurricular activity in high schools
For a more accessible world, awareness must also reach out to young people, who are the society of tomorrow. Introductory courses in Quebec Sign Language (LSQ) are offered in some high schools as an extracurricular activity for 10 weeks, one hour per week. This course aims to introduce participants to LSQ in order to develop simple and basic communication skills in this unique language characterized by its three-dimensionality. It also includes an awareness component on certain aspects of Deaf culture.
