47 Children’s Books Translated into LSQ for Accessible Learning
The Ontario Ministry of Education entrusted us with the task of making 47 books from the GB+ Collection accessible in Quebec Sign Language (LSQ). This project aimed to enhance the reading skills of Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard of hearing students served by the Consortium Centre Jules-Léger, as well as those attending other francophone schools in Ontario.
This initiative became a reality through collaboration with TC Média Livres and our video production partner, Cineall. Together, we produced 47 video translations of children’s books for students in grades 1 to 3.
This project was funded by the Ontario Ministry of Education and the Government of Canada under the Canada-Ontario Agreement on Minority-Language Education and Second-Official-Language Instruction.
